Winter in the Woods From the colonial era well into the twentieth century, winter life in Maine’s remote logging camps has featured prominently in Maine folklore, history, and tradition. Celebrate winter life in the logging camps at the Maine Forest & Logging Museum with live demonstrations including blacksmithing, sawing, chopping, and more! Experience the sights and sounds of a bygone era as our gasoline-powered Lombard Log Haulers and logging sleds roam the woods. Join us for the first public appearance of a very special addition to our Lombard Log Hauler fleet! Note that this is an outdoor event. We encourage our guests to dress appropriately for the weather conditions. $10 for adults; $5 kids 3 to 17 Museum members get in free!
