Divisi Presents “On a Snowy Evening” — A Winter Concert Bangor, ME — Divisi, Bangor’s celebrated contemporary a cappella ensemble, invites the community to an enchanting winter concert, “On a Snowy Evening,” on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The performance takes place at St. John’s Episcopal Church, located at 225 French Street, Bangor. Under the direction of Artistic Director Molly J. Webster, Divisi will present a program meant to evoke the quiet majesty and intimate reflection of a wintry night. The concert blends contemporary choral works with evocative seasonal pieces, including lush reimaginings of traditional carols and atmospheric settings by celebrated modern composers such as Philip Stopford, Ola Gjeilo, and Eric Whitacre. “This concert is our invitation to listeners to slow down, breathe, and be transported by the warmth and stillness of winter’s embrace. It’s our attempt at creating a kind of sanctuary during this busy time of year,” says the group’s artistic director. Divisi, a select ensemble of approximately 16 voices drawn from the greater Bangor community, is known for its rich, intricate harmonies and its commitment to performing works by living composers.
