Keynote Speaker: Ryan Low, Vice Chancellor for Finance and Strategic AI Integration for the University of Maine System
Ryan Low has been at the forefront of bringing artificial intelligence from theory into practice across higher education. As CFO turned AI strategist for the University of Maine System, he has led efforts to embed AI into daily operations, workforce training, and system-wide policy discussions—making AI a practical tool rather than an abstract concept.
In this keynote, Ryan will share his personal and professional AI journey—how he went from experimenting with tools to transforming workflows across a billion-dollar public university system. Attendees will see real-time demonstrations of AI in action, hear candid lessons learned along the way, and walk away with practical strategies and tools they can immediately apply to their own professional and personal lives.
AI Policy Considerations:
David Daigler, president of the Maine Community College System and Co-Chair of the Governor’s Artificial Intelligence Task Force, will discuss what the AI Task Force learned about AI’s implications and opportunities for Maine’s employers and economy, and next steps.
The Maine Artificial Intelligence Task Force was created by Executive Order of Governor Janet Mills on December 20, 2024. Charged with investigating the implications of recent and anticipated advances in the field of AI for the State of Maine. The Task Force is comprised of 21 individuals, including representatives from State and Quasi-State Agencies; the State Legislature; Municipal Government; Advocacy Groups; and Employers. Per the Governor’s executive order, the Task Force will deliver its recommendations to the Governor by October 2025.

As the co-founder of CTO Input, a fractional CTO, CIO, and CISO firm, Tyson works with leaders who want technology strategies that drive growth, protect trust, and stay aligned with real business goals. At the AI Summit, Tyson will focus on how local businesses of every size can move beyond experimenting with AI tools and start using them as a reliable, value-creating resource for their teams, customers, and communities. Most leaders have experimented with AI tools like ChatGPT or Canva, but few know how to move beyond dabbling to disciplined practice. In this closing session, Tyson Martin, Co-Founder and CEO of CTO Input, will connect the dots from today’s keynotes and panels and show how businesses of every size (from small shops to mid-market firms to nonprofits) can turn AI into a practical, value-creating resource. Attendees will walk away with a simple framework for progression (Experiment, Integrate, Govern) and three clear actions they can take: something to try this week, something to build this quarter, and something to put in place this year. This session is designed to leave you with clarity, confidence, and a concrete starting point for putting AI to work in your organization.
