BANGOR — The Downtown Bangor Partnership (DBP) invites applications from Maine artists wishing to display and sell their goods at the annual Downtown Bangor Sidewalk Art Festival, Saturday, July 5, 2025.  All Maine artists are invited to apply.

The beloved day-long Festival fills the streets of Downtown Bangor with art, music, live demonstrations, performances, and family activities. As the premier arts and culture destination in Northern and Central Maine, Downtown Bangor seeks to provide an outlet for artists to sell their original work and interact with the community.

Participating artists are selected by a committee of artists and downtown business owners, who review each application to ensure that the Festival features a broad array of skilled, versatile artists, makers, and designers in many different media.

More than 150 Maine artists participated in the 2024 Summer Sidewalk Art Festival, which brought thousands of visitors to Downtown Bangor. Festival visitors are encouraged to stroll the streets of the entire Downtown to take in mural installations, gardens, and permanent statues and visit the numerous galleries, shops, and restaurants.

Applications will be accepted through May 1, 2025 and acceptance information is expected to be sent on May 30, 2025.
