Join grid and climate planning discussions in Penobscot County
BANGOR and PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Versant Power will provide updates on its integrated grid planning and climate vulnerability study through a series of community meetings throughout Penobscot County this month. Customers are encouraged to attend to learn about how the company is planning for future grid needs, climate resilience, and other topics of interest.
Topics include:
· Who is Versant Power, and what is the utility’s role in grid and climate planning?
· What are the grid and climate planning processes, and how do they affect me?
· How do I get more involved and/or offer feedback?

Versant Power staff will be available at community meetings to answer questions about various energy issues. All feedback on the grid planning process will be documented and considered. Surveys also will be shared to help Versant Power better understand individuals’ specific concerns and areas of interest.
Versant Power is conducting in-depth grid and climate planning processes as directed by recent legislation and the Maine Public Utilities Commission, LD 1959, An Act Regarding Utility Accountability and Grid Planning for Maine’s Clean Energy Future.
