It's Time for the Bangor Public Library's April Book Sale plus Craft Supply Swap
March 13, 2025

BANGOR, ME - In what is fast becoming an April tradition, the Bangor Public Library is offering 2 ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
On Saturday, April 5th the Friends of the Bangor Public Library will be setting up a used book sale. It runs 10:00-4:00 and will be on the first floor. Want to get in earlier? Members can attend the pre-sale on Friday, April 4th from 3:00-5:00. Become a member at the door! It's only $10 for individuals and $15 for families.
There will be used books for every age and all sales benefit the library. Cash, check and now credit card are accepted. As this is a way for the Friends to clean out inventory, they are requesting that the public refrain from donating books until after the sale.
The library does need donations, however, of new and gently used craft supplies for its twice-a-year Arts & Crafts Supply Swap. The swap runs 10:00 to 3:00 on the same day as the book sale. Stop by that day to pick up free supplies or drop some off for others. This is a great way to do some spring cleaning and pass on the supplies you no longer use.
The library accepts all kinds of odds and ends for this swap! Leftovers are saved for the next swap or donated to local schools and community groups. All donations can be left at any service desk. If you need help getting your supplies to the library, give us a call.
