ConvenientMD Names James Morse, MD, District Medical Director for Maine

Portsmouth, NH — ConvenientMD, a leading urgent care provider in New England, announced the appointment of James (Jamie) Morse, MD, CPE, FACEP, as district medical director for Maine. In this role, Morse will oversee clinical care across ConvenientMD’s 11 Maine urgent care locations, working closely with providers and clinic teams to support high-quality, consistent patient care and continued clinical excellence.

Morse brings extensive experience in emergency medicine, physician leadership, and clinical operations. Most recently, he served as regional medical director for BlueWater Health, overseeing the quality of care, staffing and clinical performance across five emergency departments, including York Hospital, in York, Maine. He also served as president of Greater Newburyport Emergency Physicians, where he led a group of more than 25 medical professionals, and held multiple leadership roles at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, Massachusetts, including chief of emergency medicine.
Throughout his career, Morse has focused on improving clinical processes, strengthening medical teams, and mentoring physicians and advanced practice providers. His leadership approach emphasizes clinical competency, teamwork and professional development.
As District Medical Director, Morse will partner with ConvenientMD’s Maine providers and clinic teams to promote evidence-based clinical practices, support quality improvement initiatives and help ensure providers have the guidance and resources they need to provide exceptional care.

Morse completed his emergency medicine residency at Yale University and earned his medical degree from McGill University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP) and a Certified Physician Executive (CPE). His background also includes teaching, clinical quality improvement and service on hospital leadership and patient care committees.
