Breathe easy! Two Pulmonologists Join the Team

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is pleased to welcome two new pulmonologists to the team: Marcel Casasola, MD and Fatjon Hoxha, MD. Both doctors specialize in caring for patients with lung, breathing, and sleeping conditions.
Dr. Casasola earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He completed a Principles and Practice of Clinical Research program at Harvard University School of Public Health in Boston, and a Research Fellowship at Harvard University Medical School / Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He received additional training in Internal Medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Hoxha earned a Master of Science in General Medicine from the University of Tirana in Albania. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine from Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program in Waterbury/New Haven and a fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at UCONN Health Hospital at the University of Connecticut in Farmington. Dr. Hoxha is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary, eligible for certification in Critical Care, and accredited to perform navigational bronchoscopies. He also has a special interest in lung cancer.
