Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Awards Career and Technical Education Scholarships to 15 High School Graduates

Bar Harbor, Maine – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has awarded the Bank’s 2026 Career & Technical Education Scholarship to 15 recent high school graduates from Northern New England. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to graduates who attended a technical career program as part of their high school curriculum and are planning to attend a college or technical school in the academic year immediately following graduation.
This year’s scholarship recipients will be eligible to apply for an additional $1,000 in 2027 to be used toward a second year of college or technical school.

The 2026 scholarship recipients are:
- James Brasted of Jonesport, Maine, is a graduate of Jonesport-Beals High School and attended the Coastal Washington County Institute of Technology. He plans to study building construction at Eastern Maine Community College.
- Bradleigh Bushee of Orford, New Hampshire, is a graduate of Rivendell Academy and attended the Hartford Area Career and Technical Center. She plans to study baking and pastry arts, and business at Colorado Mesa University.
- Madison Clark of Milford, New Hampshire, is a graduate of Milford High School and Applied Technology Center. She plans to study veterinary science at the University of New Hampshire.
- Sophia Harvey of Waldoboro, Maine, is a graduate of Mondomack Valley High School and attended Mid-Coast School of Technology. She plans to study behavioral health and human services at Southern Maine Community College.
- Isabel Hicks of Bangor, Maine, is a graduate of Penobscot Christian School and attended United Technologies Center. She plans to study marketing communications at Husson University.
- Ashlynne Horn of Steuben, Maine, is a graduate of Sumner High School and attended Hancock County Technical Center. She plans to study psychology at Husson University.
- Caden Joslin of Rutland, Vermont, is a graduate of West Rutland School and attended Stafford Technical Center. He plans to study welding at Hobart Welding Institute.
