On January 1st, employee contributions for Maine’s Paid Family and Medical Leave (ME PFML) program began for employers who are sharing the cost of the program with their employees.
Acadia Benefits shares the latest updates for businesses including details about the new ME PFML Contributions Portal and what to expect next for substituting the state-run plan with an approved private plan. Important to note is all employers in Maine, regardless of business size or number of employees, are required to set up an online account and register their business through this new ME PFML Contributions Portal.
