The UpStart Center is a 20,000-square foot facility located in Orono that houses a variety of companies ranging from one-person start-ups to organizations with as many as 10 employees. We also partner with the University of Maine’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development to provide coaching services and support to entrepreneurs who are building scalable, innovation-driven start-ups.

We have several options currently available to lease, including multiple 190-square foot offices, a 520-square foot space suitable for light production or a dry lab, and additional spaces opening soon. Rent for a 190-square foot space starts at $375/month with all utilities included. The UpStart Center offers high-speed, fiber optic internet, large conference rooms, video conferencing, printer, copier, and mail services, as well as plentiful on-site parking and proximity to the University of Maine and I-95.

In response to COVID-19, the UpStart Center has instituted new policies and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for our tenants. The building is only accessible via swipe card, and masks are required in all common areas. We are regularly sanitizing every high-touch surface and providing additional cleaning supplies in all common spaces.
