Since 1986, owner Stephen Rollins has been working with local businesses throughout the state of Maine. He has grown from a one-man operation, in his college years at the University of Maine, to over 20 employees servicing clients in six states and five countries. Originally located in Hermon, SJ Rollins headquarters soon were moved in order to accommodate the growing needs of the business to State St. in Bangor, where they stayed for 25 years. At this location S.J. Rollins added a public data center which occupied 25% of the building. In 2016, as the business grew larger, the need for more space was quickly becoming evident and a larger data center was desperately needed. In the spring of 2016, the former TD Bank building in Brewer caught the eye of the company and after a year of major renovations and an addition added to the building, SJ Rollins Technologies moved its location to its current 10,000 sq. ft. location, 508 Wilson St., Brewer.
