The Bangor Breakfast Kiwanis was chartered as one of 7,700 clubs in 80 countries in 1977. Our motto is ''Serving the Children of the World''. Today, our Club is one of several Kiwanis Clubs in the Greater Bangor Area. Throughout our four decades as a Club, we have always been dedicated to serving our community, with an emphasis on programs supporting the health and well being of children. We are very active in our community, combining Kiwanis fellowship at our weekly Thursday morning breakfast meetings with active participation in goodwill projects and charity fundraising activities throughout the year.
Perhaps the largest Community Service event of the year for area Kiwanis Clubs, including Bangor Breakfast, is the sponsorship and organization of the Bangor Independence Day events, including the annual Kiwanis 4th of July Parade and Fireworks show.

We are now in the process of a major fundraising campaign for a wonderful Kiwanis Children's Playground to be located on the Bangor Waterfront. This project is the largest community project in our history, and will serve as a long lasting tribute to Kiwanis' dedication to our kids.
