Physical therapy focuses on the identification of physical impairments and pain, allowing our guests to achieve their goals of independence. Physical therapies include:

Mobility retraining
Balance restoration
Therapeutic exercises
Physical conditioning
Neuromuscular retraining

Occupational therapy focuses on improving independence and guests’ ability to comfortably complete Activities of Daily Living, which include feeding, dressing, and grooming, as well as daily tasks such as preparing meals and even caring for a pet.

Speech therapy focuses on communication, swallowing, and cognition, which is important for those affected by strokes, respiratory illnesses, brain injuries, or dementias.

Westgate also offers a 39-room residential memory care community, that is under the guidance of a dedicated program director / RN.
