POSITION SUMMARY:
The Interventional Technologist/Radiographer I is part of a procedural team which provides general and advanced care to patients undergoing procedures in interventional cardiology and interventional radiology specialties. Operates single- and dual-plane imaging equipment. Sets up and runs procedural equipment, assists the operating physician in procedural support roles, and performs all other ancillary duties as assigned to meet the patient care needs of the department and as allowed by competence and licensure. Throughout the performance of duties, EMMC Caring Behaviors are demonstrated consistently. Holds other employees accountable to EMMC Caring Behavior expectations. Strives to improve process, quality, and patient experience. The technologist covers a variety of shifts within one specialty modality (cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, interventional radiology/vascular) with weekend, holiday, and non-restricted call duties. May be required to participate in specialty teams (TAVR, Interventional Neurology). Demonstrates a professional commitment to meeting these expectations.

WORK HOURS: The technologist covers a variety of shiftsweekend, holiday, and non-restricted call duties.



MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Associates degree in Radiology Technology. ARRT, Licensed in the State of Maine.

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Ability to relate well with people and to work effectively with technical and medical staff, patients and families.

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Adaptability to a changing healthcare environment
