Event Description:
The Racial Equity & Justice Organization Firm has partnered with the American Red Cross for Black History Month. We will be having a diversity blood drive ( all donors are encouraged ) to come donate blood. The point of this blood drive is to attain a growing diverse donor base. While 13% of the U.S. population is black, less than 3% of Red Cross blood donors self-identify as African American. Right now, there aren’t enough donors to meet the urgent need for blood for patients with sickle cell disease.
Also, during the month of February:
Thanks to our partners at Amazon, we’re sharing some warmth with our donors this winter! To motivate donors to give in February, we’re offering all who come to give a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card** by email.* PLUS, they’ll also be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip for two to Florida, including round-trip airfare, a three-night stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach and $100 voucher for the resort’s Ocean Hai restaurant, plus a $750 gift card for expenses.
